Staying at Mason Villa is such a great experience. If I were to own a villa in Bali, this would be it. Comfortable & relaxed. Nothing pretentious like some places, where your afraid to break something. The villa was so lovely. Clean, well equipped & a little piece of tranquility in amongst the hustle & bustle of Seminyak. The gardens are lush and beautifully maintained. The pool, so inviting that the kids could hardly bare to get out. The living space is open plan with open living. No walls to block the lovely garden view. The villa comfortably sleeps 8. Each room with a spacious queen or king size bed. The pillows and mattress were so comfortable that even my children commented how well they all slept. The linen was soft and smooth to sleep on. Bath towels and pool towels were in good supply. Also of good quality. There is nothing cheap about Mason Villas. It may not be a super 6 star Hotel but we didn’t want that. We wanted calm and relaxing. We wanted a huge selection of restaurants on our door step. We wanted staff available but not always underfoot. Speaking of staff Kojak was the villa driver. He is available day & night. He picked us up from the airport and took us wherever we needed to go. He is a lovely man, courteous and thoughtful. His wife Kutuk takes care of the villas. She heads up the small team who clean the villa daily & who can attend to any small issues that arise. She is also an outstanding cook & the living embodiment of Balinese friendliness & hospitality. When we arrived Villa Mason was a place to stay for a weeks holiday. When we left, it had become our home away from home. And as all seasoned travellers know, at some point, we all look forward to coming home again.

A lovely villa with every need being taken care for. it’s perfect value for money. location is perfect. The pool is excellent and very clean even in the rainy season. Perfect seclusion in middle of town.

This is the perfect place for your Seminyak retreat. The villa is a tranquil escape, so peaceful and with terrific staff to look after you. But you can be out and about in the bustle of Seminyak within minutes. It is walking distance to all the amazing shops, spas, bars, restaurants and the beach. Yet you can lie by the villa pool and hear nothing but chirping birds. Highly recommended.

The villa was perfect for our group of 11, with an open layout so it never felt crowded. Ketut and the staff attended to everything, including a lovely cooked breakfast for us every morning. It is in a quiet lane way but close to shops, restaurants and massages, and about 15 minutes walk to the beach. Highly recommended and great value for money!

We stayed in Mason Villa Satu for one week October 2015. The Villa was perfect for our two families (7people). The bedrooms were spacious, clean and each has its own bathroom, air con and fan. Some of the bedrooms even have mini kitchens!! The pool area was spacious and the grounds really well maintained.  Ketut was lovely; she cooked breakfast for us and cleaned the villa with Kojak. Both were very friendly.
The location of the Villa was peaceful and great for venturing both to Eat Street and Jalan Seminyak; It was only a 5 minute walk up a quiet Gang to the latter which was a pleasant surprise! Also, even closer along Jalan Drupadi were a few nice eating choices like Kendi Kuning and Kzu Drupadi. The usual Circle Ks, Spas and laundry were all within a 3 minute walk!!!!

Paul was easy to communicate with and everything was as described. The house was great for our family group. We all had a great time. The location was good as there were good restaurants and shops close by. The restaurant on the corner does delivery which we often used if relaxing by the pool. Staff made us welcome and looked after us. Thanks Paul and team.

A great location – only a short walk to the beach & all the amenities required Great location for shops & beach with 3 support staff to care for you. Surprisingly quiet which makes a change from life in Jakarta. Perfect for 2/3 families with room for 10 adults. I am going back again for Chinese New Year.

Awesome I stayed at Villa Mason 2 nights. It was awesome experience. The location is near to beach and major restaurants. The owner is very friendly. The room is clean and neat. The most I love is the private pool. Thanks to KJ the owner.

“Well I did not meet Paul per se BUT I did meet Kojak who was AWESOME! He definitely helped us get around and showed us on our first day to a couple of great spots to eat and shop. He even took us straight to Ubud which was fun bargaining. The pictures don’t do it justice. The villa had 5 bedrooms 3 located on the main house, and 2 located on the other side of the main house. The 4th bedroom was very private and the 5th bedroom was also private but with a bunk-bed tucked in a corner which is the room we slept in with our two sons. We had a party of 12 staying at this villa and had MORE than enough room. The pool was always lukewarm which was very nice after long walks in Bali. The cleaning staff came every morning to clean and straighten out. There was always ants and snails running around which I don’t mind but to some people it might be a turn off. Just FYI. I would definitely come back. ONE thing that I gotta remind people is BRING a converter. I’m not sure what it’s called but it’s got two circular ends. No worries though local shops will have converters for a few $. There are many shops (souvenirs, furniture, trinkets, clothes, electronics), restaurants (italian, pizza, mexican, local, american) , massage parlors, and spas nearby so everything you would want, is there, in walking distance. All in all, great location, very tranquil and peaceful stay. There are neighbors but the walls are so high that no one can really see what’s going on. One last thing, don’t run the A/C units, fans, lights and TV’s on all at the same time, it will blow a fuse but it wasn’t a big deal at the flick of a switch power comes back on. Can’t wait to come back to Bali!” Owners comment: The power has been upgrade though we still encourage guests to be energy efficient and not run everything at the same time.

We were travelling in a family group of 12, 7 adults and 5 kids. The Mason offered us a perfect combination of rooms to suit everyone and give everyone space and privacy. Really was quite perfect. Firstly, the correspondence with the owner was brilliant. So so easy to deal with. Then came Ketut, Kojak and Made. What gorgeous staff they were. Ketut and Made cooked us a huge Balinese feast on our last night there. Was the best meal ever.- she is a real asset to the Villa. We had organised a pool fence as we had a little one travelling with us. Was ideal. Solid and Balinese in style so blended in well. The Spa at the end of the lane is called Crown Spa….stay away.. what a shamozzle that was there. OMG. I nearly lost the top of my finger so we never went back. There are so many close by anyway. We loved our stay here but it was a bit of a pain with so many kids when it came to meal times. It was only a 5-10 minute walk into where the shops and restaurants were but it was so hot and in the end we caught cabs lolololol. Lazy I know but well worth it. A fan above the big table wouldn’t go astray either. It was sweltering under there The price of this villa was the most amazing thing. Soooooooo well priced that we thought it must have been a mistake. Would highly recommend to all our family and friends. Owners’ comment: There must be 20 spas in Jl Drupadi. Unfortunately the one Georgie mentions (and the closest) is not the best. Try any of the others.

The place, the staff everything was amazing. Could not have asked for a more friendlier place to stay. The pool was fantastic, the kids loved it, in and out all day (the only thing is the tiles are slippery, so thongs on at all times). Kojak and Ketut were beautiful people who looked after as and were never too far away (even when I lost a key late at night) Ketut was there to let me in. The rooms were nice and big, the outdoor area relaxing and big enough for everyone to sit together. (The only suggestion a fan under the out door table lol). Loved every minute of our stay. A very short walk to Eat Street with great restaurants. Easy Villa to remember where you are staying. Amazing, Amazing Place. Thank you. Owners’ comment: We now have a large fan for the outdoor living area.

We stayed for two weeks and the villa easily accommodated our large family consisting of 5 couples and 2 children. Each couple had their own space, facilities and privacy when they needed it and took advantage of the fantastic common area around the pool which seated our entire family. The location of the villa is great close to supermarkets, shops, beach, spas and a variety of eating places. Everything is in walking distance. Simone was wonderful to deal with when booking the villa and was helpful with all of my requests and questions. The villa staff are wonderful- they are eager to help when approached and are otherwise respectfully working in the background without being intrusive. I would highly recommend Villa Mason for a large group or family and it is great value for money. The pictures on the website represent the villa well and are not at all misleading. Thank you Simone and staff at Villa Mason for providing a great space and atmosphere for our family gathering. Owners’ comment: Simone is the previous owner. We try to be equally “wonderful.”
